21 Of The Most Beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossom Photos Of 2014

The delicate pink sakura, or cherry blossom, is ociated mostly using the civilization of its native Japan. All these trees blossom throughout Japan every spring, but their attractiveness never gets older, so we’ve gathered some of our favourite pictures of the year’s cherry blossoms in Japan.

Back in Japan, the blossoming of this sakura starts in April, when pupils return to college or even individuals return to work after the holidays. Japan’s national weather service even monitors the motion of this “sakura front,” that is an imaginary line which travels south-to-north each time and heralds the flourishing of this sakura. This line’s progress in Japan is indicated on this handy sakura calendar.

The cherry blossom is tied into the ancient Japanese tradition of hanami, or picnicking below a sakura tree. The simple fact that the cherry blossom has heavily featured in early Japanese art is now a staple of the ancient and contemporary Japanese aesthetic. Even though it’s also native to China and Korea, it’s usually ociated mostly with Japanese civilization, which explains why it frequently accompanies the Japanese diaspora into towns across the world.

While sakuras are likely best seen with a Japanese castle, garden or mountain at the background, they may also be implanted somewhere on town too. They supply a fantastic chance to really go for a gorgeous springtime picnic!
